Mini-pupillages at Atkin Chambers
The next application window for mini-pupillages will be announced later this year.
Although a mini-pupillage is not a pre-requisite to applying for pupillage, we recognise that they are helpful when making decisions about pupillage applications by providing some knowledge of the areas of law in which the barristers at Atkin Chambers specialise as well as a taste of life at the Bar.

What mini-pupillages are offered at Atkin Chambers
Chambers offers up to 10 two-day mini-pupillage opportunities per year.
Mini-pupillages are not assessed and the experience is viewed as a decision-making tool to help students make the right choice when deciding where to submit a full pupillage application.
During their time in Chambers, mini-pupils are given the dedicated support of a junior barrister whose task it is to provide a varied insight into the life and work of a barrister at Atkin Chambers.
We ask please that applicants not apply earlier than 2nd year law or 3rd year non-law. We welcome applications from those studying the BPC or GDL.
Expenses policy
For successful applicants to this scheme Chambers will reimburse all reasonable travel expenses and arrange overnight accommodation nearby if required.
It is helpful please if candidates raise any requests for fares and accommodation when organising mini-pupillage dates and before mini pupillages begin.
Grant schemes
Applicants may also want to note that Lincoln’s Inn has a grant scheme which specifically supports mini-pupillages (link to mini-pupillage grant scheme) which they made find useful. For details on other sources of funding please click here.
