Rashda Rana elected President of the Australian Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators

Atkin Chambers is delighted to announce that Door Tenant, Rashda Rana, has been elected as President of the Australian Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Rashda is a barrister who has worked at the Bar in London and also in various states in Australia (primarily in NSW). She has practiced for over 20 years as an advocate. She has advised on and conducted major commercial, maritime and construction, oil and energy & infrastructure litigation, arbitration and mediation involving wide ranging issues.

As well as her litigious practice, Rashda has undertaken non-contentious work in drafting, reviewing and settling major project documentation including Defence contracts (Class 1 submarines), infrastructure (roads and tunnels) and banking and finance documentation (prospectuses and insurance policies) and Public Private Partnership transactional documentation.

Rashda is an active member of a number of significant industry associations.

She is a CEDR accredited mediator and has been appointed as arbitrator in a number of domestic and international arbitrations.
