Martin Bowdery QC and Simon Lofthouse QC are co-hosting the session on the Enforcement of Arbitral Awards at the FIDIC Middle East Contract Users Conference in Abu Dhabi on 24th and 25th February 2010.
Martin and Simon will be looking at the basic framework of the Enforcement of arbitration awards, the New York Convention, procedures for applying for Enforcement, grounds for refusing Enforcement and matters of public policy. They will be speaking on the second day (25th ) of the conference.
The conference, which is organized by IBC Informa in conjunction with FIDIC, aims to provide delegates with the chance to benefit from the experience of international FIDIC experts as well as share in the practical experiences of local experts from the Middle East region.
It is aimed at lawyers, engineers, architects, investors, project managers and any other professional involved in delivering projects in the Middle East utilising the FIDIC suite of contracts.
Simon Lofthouse QC is also presenting to the Society of Construction Law (Gulf) in Dubai on FIDIC valuations and choosing an appropriate Arbitrator. This will take place on 28th February 2010.
