Professor Doug Jones AO will judge the GAR Live debate at GAR Live: Hong Kong on Thursday, 22 October 2020.
The Oxford Union style debate is titled: “This house believes that there is no such thing as a bad challenge.”
Now in its 10th year, GAR Live Hong Kong will bring together counsel, arbitrators, representatives of institutions, expert witnesses and funders. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of key challenges facing the region, as well as a broader insight into the international arbitration landscape and key developments.
The event will be chaired by Sarah Grimmer, Secretary-General, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), and Kevin Kim, Senior Partner, Peter & Kim.
The event will be held virtually from 15:00 (HKT) and topics covered will include “after covid-19” and state interference in international arbitration.
