Professor Doug Jones AO will present The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Singapore) Annual Thought Leadership Lecture on the topic of “Flexibility in International Dispute Resolution”.
The lecture will take place on the 9th November and Doug will discuss proactive case management of international disputes in both courts and arbitration. As part of the discussion, he will look at alternative approaches to those traditionally adopted which could contribute to solving some of the current problems in effective resolution of international disputes, such as disclosure of documents, presentation of evidence, party-appointed experts, and crystallisation of issues prior to evidentiary hearings.
The lecture will be followed by a networking reception.
