Overview

Members act in many of the landmark construction and engineering disputes, both nationally and internationally, for the whole range of clients in the UK, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Americas and Caribbean and Europe.  Work includes major infrastructure giga and mega projects, energy projects, commercial developments, social infrastructure projects, airports and rail, defence, ports, telecoms, shipping, roads, waste/water, aviation, as well as nuclear, oil and gas and clean energy sources. Clients include central and local government departments, developers, contractors, funders, insurers and construction professionals.

Members act in both common and civil law jurisdictions. In the UK, members regularly appear as advocates at all levels of Court in England and Wales, as well as in commercial arbitrations.  International work frequently involves complex cross-border disputes, with parties from several jurisdictions. Members practise in many of the world’s leading arbitration centres and are highly experienced in handling disputes conducted under the auspices of the major arbitral institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, DIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, ICSID, LMAA, SCCA, QICCA, arbitrateAD and numerous others.  Some members have also appeared in the courts of other jurisdictions, including Northern Ireland, Hong Kong, Trinidad and Tobago, Tanzania and the DIFC in Dubai.
