Julie Demeritt

Prior to joining Chambers in 2016, Julie spent the previous two years at the General Council of the Bar, first as policy analyst for remuneration and the employed Bar, and then as policy manager for professional standards at the Bar Standards Board.

For over 10 years, before qualifying as a barrister, Julie was a senior research scientist for AstraZeneca pharmaceuticals, researching and synthesising ground-breaking drugs for biological evaluation to cure cancer.

Julie is a member of the Legal Practice Managers’ Association, the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and the Society of Construction Law.
