Simon Lofthouse QC has been appointed as Board Member of the Bar Standards Board and Chair of the Complaints Committee of the Bar Standards Board with effect from 1 January 2011. He has served as Vice Chair to the Committee since 2008, having been a prosecutor for the BSB and a member of the Bar Professional Conduct Committee prior to that. He has also been a member of the Equality and Diversity Committee of the Commercial Bar Association for many years.
Simon was called to the Bar in 1988, appointed a Recorder in 2003 and became Queen’s Counsel in 2006. As a Recorder he sits on the Midland circuit in crime, civil, private family and public family law.
