Rupert Choat KC will be speaking at three events during the course of São Paulo Arbitration Week which is taking place between 14th and 19th October.
The first of these events will be the XI Edition CAM-CCBC Arbitration Congress and the 17th Biennial IFCAI Conference on Monday 14th October. Rupert will be taking part in a panel session entitled ‘Clearing for Takeoff: Exploring Arbitration’s Path in Airport Concessions’. He will be joined by Jennifer Haworth McCandless, Ana Maria Rovai and Tiago Sousa Pereira. The session will be moderated by Gary Birnberg.

On Wednesday 16th October, Rupert will join an event hosted by The Chamber of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration. Rupert and Adriana Braghetta, President of the Market Arbitration Chamber in São Paulo will discuss ‘Dissenting Opinions in Arbitration Tribunals.’ The session will be moderated by Vânia Wongtschowski Kleiman.

The final session will take place on Thursday 17th October when Rupert will be speaking at an event entitled ‘International Construction Disputes – Bridging the Gap between Common Law and Civil Law.’ The event is hosted by Bodenheimer, King’s College London, Instituto Brasileiro de Direito da Construção – IBDiC, and Pinheiro Neto Advogados. Rupert’s session will focus on ‘Expert Evidence and Standards of Impartiality’. He will be joined by fellow panellist Luiz Fernando Alongi of Aequitas. The session will be moderated by João Vitor Costa of Bodenheimer and Thaís Fernandes Chebatt of Pinheiro Neto Advogados.
