Atkin Chambers is pleased to announce that door tenant Professor Janet Walker has been appointed to the Order of Canada for her expert legal authority in commercial arbitration and conflict of laws, and for advancing legal procedural standards in Canada.
The Order of Canada is one of Canada’s highest honours created in 1967 to honour “people whose service shapes our society, whose innovations ignite our imaginations and whose compassion unites our communities”. Appointments are made by the Governor General of Canada on the recommendation of the Advisory Council for the Order of Canada.
This year’s appointees will be presented with their insignia at investiture ceremonies to be held on future dates.
