Professor Doug Jones AO will be speaking in a panel discussion of the International Construction Projects Committee at the International Bar Association Conference in Paris on 2 November 2023.
The panel session, titled “Breaking Up is Hard to Do? Lessons Learnt and Preparations that Can Be Made to Ease the Pain of Litigation and Contract Termination”, will cover all phases of the life of the project to provide insights into the way lawyers and project executives can prepare for successful dispute resolution before the dispute arises. The panel will also consider the current attitudes towards arbitration in this context.
This session will be moderated by Adrian Cole of Adrian Cole FZ LLE and Sharon Vogel of Singleton Urquhart Reynold Vogel. Professor Jones AO will speak alongside an international panel of Rajdeep Choudhury of Archeus Law, Elina Mereminskaya of Wagemann & Asociados and Roger Ter Haar KC of Crown Office Chambers.
