Atkin Chambers is delighted to announce Professor Doug Jones AO has been awarded the SCL International Medal. The medal was presented to Doug on the 24th October 2025 by KJ (Ki Jeung) PARK, Chair of the SCL Korea, during the 11th SCL International Conference in Seoul.
The medal is presented at each SCL International Conference to a person who has made a major contribution to construction law internationally.
Doug’s award was presented at the end of a very successful conference which took place between 22nd and 24th October in Seoul, and brought together construction lawyers, experts and industry leaders from around the globe, whilst also engaging local stakeholders, including contractors, employers, engineers and consultants.
Head of Atkin Chambers, Chantal-Aimée Doerries KC, delivered a keynote speech at the conference on the theme of ‘Bridging the Past, Present & Future in Construction Claims.’ Professor Doug Jones AO also joined a panel session on ‘Hot Topics in Construction Law.’
