Professor Doug Jones AO and Professor Janet Walker CM to speak at Twentieth Annual Leading Arbitrators’ Symposium in Vienna

Professor Doug Jones AO and Professor Janet Walker CM will speak at the Leading Arbitrators’ Symposium on the Conduct of International Arbitration.

Now in its 20th year, the symposium will take place on Monday 14th April during the prestigious Vis Moot competition in Vienna.

The conference will feature four working sessions with leading arbitration practitioners and scholars. The program aims to provide comprehensive insights into various aspects of arbitration, from procedural organisation to effective evidence presentation and the dynamics of tribunal deliberations.

Professor Doug Jones will speak in the first panel session of the day on “Initial Organisation of the Arbitral Proceeding and Pre-Hearing Activities” alongside Claudia Benavides of Baker McKenzie, James Castello, Independent Arbitrator, Kevin Nash of the London Court of International Arbitration and
Ann Ryan Robertson of Troutman Pepper Locke.

Professor Janet Walker CM will be speaking in an afternoon panel session on “Tribunal Deliberations and Dynamics” alongside Wulf Gordian Hauser of Hauser Partners, Gabrielle Nater-Bass of Homburger, Carmen Nuñez-Lagos, Independent Arbitrator and Cesar Pereira of Justen, Pereira, Oliveira & Talamini.
