Professor Doug Jones AO will be speaking at several events during 2019 Australian Arbitration Week in Brisbane in the week of 18 November 2019.
On the opening day (Monday 18 November) Professor Doug Jones AO will be chairing a panel session on “Appointment of Arbitrator – Institution v Corporate” at this year’s ACICA/CIArb Australia International Arbitration Conference. On Tuesday 19 November, Professor Jones will join a panel discussion and hypothetical arbitral hearing to explore the practical benefits and challenges of expert witness conferencing under CIArb’s new guidelines at an event titled: “From Hot Seat to Hot Tub: Expert Witness Conferencing in International Arbitration”, organised by DLA Piper and CIArb. On Wednesday 20 November, Professor Jones will give the Annual International Arbitration lecture, presented by Clayton Utz and supported by the University of Sydney. The topic is “Arbitration in Australia – Rising to the Challenge”. For more information go to the website.
