Emily joins Atkin in the newly-created role of head of marketing. She is known for her skill in blending sound strategic thinking with excellence in programme management and delivery, which will be key in driving Atkin’s new strategy forward.
Julie also joins this month, in another newly created role: senior practice manager. A qualified barrister, she is also a former senior research scientist for a large pharmaceutical company. More recently, she was Policy Analyst at the General Council of the Bar and joins Atkin directly from the Bar Standards Board where she was policy manager in professional standards. She also has a strong business development background, as this discipline has always played a significant part of her policy-making roles.
CEO Fay Gillott said: “I’m delighted with the complexion of our new senior management team: the four of us have very complementary skill-sets and I’m very much looking forward to working together to drive our new three-year strategy forward.”

Between Justin’s deep-rooted experience of how chambers best engages with its marketplaces, and the new perspectives that Fay, Emily and Julie will bring as more recent joiners, we have the perfect balance to ensure our bold ambitions for the future are built on firm foundations.”
