Laura Hussey joins Atkin Chambers as a tenant

12th Sep 2018

Atkin Chambers is delighted that Laura Hussey has joined Chambers as a tenant from 12 September 2018, following the completion of her pupillage.

Laura’s practice covers all areas of Chambers’ work, including construction, engineering and infrastructure, energy and utilities, and professional negligence. During pupillage, she gained experience at all stages of litigation, adjudication and arbitration, and worked with a variety of bespoke and standard form contracts including the FIDIC, JCT, NEC and ACE forms.

Prior to joining Atkin Chambers Laura spent a number of years gaining valuable and wide-ranging experience in banking and commercial roles outside of the law. She now applies that experience to her work as a barrister in order to provide practical and commercially sensitive advice. She was educated in the US and the UK. Laura is a member of the SCL (The Society of Construction Law).

“I am delighted that Laura Hussey is joining us as a tenant at Atkin Chambers after the completion of a successful pupillage.  It is an exciting time to be involved in infrastructure and energy disputes. I have no doubt that Laura will rapidly build an interesting and busy practice,” Chantal-Aimée Doerries QC, Head of Chambers, commented.
