Karim Ghaly KC to Join Atkin Chambers

Atkin Chambers is delighted to announce that Karim Ghaly KC will join the set on 1st October 2025.

Karim is recognised as one of the leading Commercial Silks at the Bar, both internationally and domestically. He joins from 39 Essex Chambers, where he has practised since completing pupillage in 2004, taking Silk in 2017.

Karim specialises in the litigation and arbitration of substantial commercial disputes in the fields of construction and engineering, energy and natural resources, infrastructure, insurance, maritime projects and PPP / PFI. He has acted as counsel, arbitrator and adjudicator in complex disputes arising out of projects in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America and the UK.

Karim has been consistently noted in the domestic and international legal directories as a leading Silk in a variety of fields, including Construction, Energy and Natural Resources, International Arbitration, Professional Negligence and Commercial Dispute Resolution. Chambers & Partners UK Bar 2025 describes him as “an absolute star”, with The Legal 500 noting “he is often said to be one of the very top talents of his generation.”
