Atkin Chambers is pleased to support the work of Advocate as a Pro Bono Patron for 2019.
“Advocate fulfils a vital role nationally by channelling the skills and time given by barristers to provide free specialist legal advice, drafting and representation to the most vulnerable in our society. Atkin Chambers has committed to supporting Advocate’s Patron programme because our members believe in the value and importance of the work which Advocate does,” commented Chantal-Aimée Doerries QC, Head of Atkin Chambers.
“Securing the support of the Pro Bono Patrons is essential in allowing us to expand our reach. We were able to help with nearly 25% more cases last year over the previous year. This year we are taking our service online, developing our Pro Bono Champions engagement scheme across the country, improving our stories of those helped to get access to justice and better supporting and engaging our wonderful case reviewers and panel members,” said Jess Campbell, Chief Executive of Advocate.
