Mathias Cheung will participate in DLA Piper’s inaugural Global Construction Conference taking place on 8-11 November 2021. The theme of this year’s event will be “The future of construction: What the future holds and how to prepare for it”. The event will be held online.
Mathias will join a panel discussion to discuss “Barristers’ and Arbitrators’ Insights into what the future holds for global construction arbitrations” chaired by Caroline Pope, partner, DLA Piper UK alongside Marion Smith QC, 39 Essex Chambers and Gourab Banerji, Essex Court Chambers. The session will take place on Tuesday 9 November 2021 at 1:45pm to 3pm.
Mathias will join DLA Piper speakers from the Americas, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Asia and Australia, and panels of experts, barristers, arbitrators and construction practitioners from across the world who will discuss important topics in the current climate relevant across all sectors and will give a global perspective on the future of the construction sector. Robert Guest, The Economist’s Foreign Editor, and Henry Olonga, former test cricketer and human rights activist, will join as guest speakers.
