Chantal-Aimée Doerries QC will judge The GAR Live Debate as part of Global Arbitration Review’s GAR Live: London 2021 conference taking place on Tuesday 9 November 2021.
In this interactive session, mixed teams of junior and senior practitioners will debate the motion: “This House believes that arbitration will overtake litigation as the normal method of resolving international commercial disputes.” In Oxford Union-style, Chantal-Aimée and her co-judge, Constantine Partasides QC, Three Crowns, will hear teams of debaters argue in favour of, or against, a motion. The judges will then question the debaters on their stated positions before deliberating and delivering their verdicts. The GAR Live Debate will take place at 4.40pm.
