Nicholas Maciolek will speak to the SCL on an ‘Introduction to building contracts – understanding key clauses’ in Leeds on Thursday, 6 September.

Nicholas will discuss key issues across standard form and bespoke construction contracts.

Topics will include:

  • payment
  • extensions of time and liquidated damages
  • variations
  • design liability
    termination
  • insolvency
  • dispute resolution.

The event will be chaired by Jonathan Cope Nicholas’ co-speaker will be Tom Owen (Keating Chambers) and is aimed at industry professionals and lawyers of all levels.
