On Thursday 23rd February, David Streatfeild-James KC and Mark Chennells KC will join a roster of eminent UK and international speakers to address the King’s College London Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution Open Forum on “New Energy. A new approach to procurement and delivery?”.
The event will explore current developments in the procurement of new and renewable energy projects, focusing on complex legal and risk issues. Nuclear energy projects are moving towards a ‘Regulated Asset Based (RAB)’ procurement system, wind farms are being procured in innovative ways, hydrogen projects are being developed and nuclear fusion moves closer to reality. The commercial models for delivering these energy projects are developing rapidly and they offer us valuable lessons in procurement, contractual frameworks and risk management.
Nicholas Gould, partner, Fenwick Ellliott, will be chairing the event.
The Open Forum will be held at Bush House on the King’s College Strand Campus, registration will start at 9am and presentations will run from 9:30pm to 5.30pm, followed by drinks and networking. A sandwich lunch will be provided.
