Professor Janet Walker will moderate a panel discussion on “The Role of Experts” at the Construction Dispute Symposium 2021 on Tuesday 20 July.
The panel will discuss an update on emerging case law and the expectation of experts and reliance on expert reports. The panel will include Lorna Tardif, Partner, HKA, Sandra Burnell, Senior Consultant, Revay and Associates Limited and Walied Abdeldayem, Managing Director, Idea Ltd.
The panel discussion is part of a wider symposium series which will explore recent trends and emerging approaches to dispute resolution in the construction industry. Presenters include leading practitioners in construction practice, construction law and dispute resolution. The symposium will bring together construction professionals from across Canada to engage (digitally) in six sessions on a variety of dispute resolution methods, and explore collaborative and adversarial approaches. Leading subject matter experts, including those with substantial international experience, will discuss collaborative and adversarial approaches.
The event is hosted jointly by the RICS and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
