17 Nov 2022: Riaz Hussain KC and Rupert Choat KC to speak at Vinson & Elkins’ Dubai conference

Riaz Hussian KC and Rupert Choat KC will be speaking at Vinson & Elkins’ Middle East Construction, Engineering, and Infrastructure Conference – “It’s About Time: Dealing with Delay & Disruption” – being held on Thursday November 17 2022 in Dubai.

Riaz Hussain KC will join a panel to examine “At the Dispute Stage” – a session that will focus on what happens when relationships in EPCM projects fall apart because of delay and disruption claims and disputes. Roberta Downey, Partner and Co-Head of International Construction at Vinson & Elkins will chair and they will be joined by David Thomas KC, Keating Chambers.

Rupert Choat KC will join a panel to discuss the Mid-Project/Execution Stage – focusing on live project management, how to make relationships in the EPCM structure work day-to-day, as well as practical tips on how to deal with delay and disruption problems before they escalate and put in place protections should they be needed later. The session will be chaired by Nabeel Ikram, Partner and Head of International Disputes – MENA, Vinson & Elkins, and they will be joined by Lucy Garrett KC, Keating Chambers.

The event will be held at the Palace Downtown, Dubai.
