Riaz Hussain appointed as Queen’s Counsel

Atkin Chambers is delighted to announce that Riaz Hussain has been appointed a Queen’s Counsel in the 2016 silk appointments announced on 11th January 2016. The members of Atkin Chambers would like to congratulate Riaz on his appointment to Queen’s Counsel. Riaz will be officially appointed in the ceremony on Monday 22nd February 2016.

His practice covers all aspects of construction and engineering disputes. He also has experience as counsel in general commercial disputes. He frequently appears as an advocate in the High Court and as counsel in international arbitration. He has considerable experience as sole counsel in high value and complex disputes often involving foreign law. He has been involved in all stages of disputes from pleadings, through advising on evidence and conduct of trials and high value arbitrations as well as appearing in the Court of Appeal.

Prior to taking silk Riaz has been recommended as a leading junior in Construction, Professional Negligence and International Arbitration in the Legal 500 and in Chambers and Partners.
