Application for tenancy
Pupillage will only be offered to candidates who show the potential to become members of Chambers.
The pupillage will be subject to review by both parties at six months and will be terminable by either party at that date.
In June of each year the pupils will be required to do work for each of a representative panel of members of chambers and also a sample set of instructions. The Pupillage Committee will obtain written reports from each pupil's pupil masters and from each member of the panel. The Pupillage Committee will then prepare a report to Chambers based upon a consideration of the written reports it has received and of the work done on the sample set of instructions.
The decision upon the application for tenancy is taken by a vote at a Chamber's meeting in the light of the Pupillage Committee's recommendation.
