Atkin Chambers Barristers
The members and door tenants of Atkin Chambers have an excellent reputation across the world for their international work. This was recognised in 2005 when Atkin Chambers became the first UK chambers to receive the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. For examples of projects which members and door tenants have been involved please use the relevant regional link.
Individuals spend much of their time dealing with matters overseas, especially in relation to international commercial arbitrations, either as advocates or as arbitrators. A number of the barristers and door tenants are fluent in other languages including in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Urdhu. For further details please contact the Practice Management team.
In addition to arbitration work, barristers appear in overseas courts as advocates and as expert witnesses giving evidence on questions of English law. Barristers appear as advocates where they are permitted to do so by the local jurisdiction. Recent examples of this include Hong Kong, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and Northern Ireland.
Both barristers and door tenants are regularly invited to speak at and participate in global conferences and events on legal and specialist industry issues.
